Following the huge success of iCAN British International School over the past 6½ years, there is now a new addition to the iCAN family. iCAN PLAY Early Years Centre opened it’s doors to the youngest members of the iCAN family, on 22nd September.
Situated just behind the main iCAN campus on Street 21, the inviting iCAN PLAY has been specifically created to meet the needs of children between the ages of 18 months and 3 years. All of the equipment and activities within the bright, spacious, Early Years Centre have been tailor-made to meet the needs of young inquisitive minds and encourage learning through imaginative play.
iCAN PLAY opened with U.K. qualified and experienced Early Years specialists and a capable team of Learning Support Assistants. The Early Years Centre has a capacity for 60 children and is only a few minutes walk from iCAN British International School, having plenty of space for parking during drop off and collection times. iCAN PLAY is a stimulating environment which has been created to enable the children to access all six areas of learning as set out in the British Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. Children who are part of the latest iCAN venture will have many creative opportunities including specialist music sessions. iCAN PLAY will encourage children to develop independence and nurture child led learning. Children will be able to enjoy the role play corner where they love to dress up and mimic familiar family situations and real life scenarios, encouraging them to develop interpersonal skills with their peers and share their own family experiences. The iCAN PLAY outdoor play area has been designed to also cover the six areas of learning. Everyday there will be opportunities for the children to use up all their energy running around, riding bikes and exploring this natural environment whilst remaining safe and supervised. Children will also have daily opportunities to be creative and get messy! So if your little star is craving creativity and bursting with curiosity, why not give iCAN a call on 023 222 416-7 or e-mail for further details at ican@ican.edu.kh
